A Natural Treatment For H Pylori

A Natural Treatment For H Pylori

September 26, 2022 By Peter Leave a Comment

One of my patients was diagnosed with H. pylori, which is a type of bacterium in the lining of the stomach. She had been having stomach pain and tightness for several months. She was experiencing symptoms that were worse after eating certain foods. Then, she noticed that she felt much better after eating simple foods.

Manuka honey

Several studies have suggested the effectiveness of Manuka honey for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori. Some researchers have even suggested clinical trials, based on their results. However, the results of these studies have been limited. Regardless of the effectiveness of the treatment, it's important to know the facts and avoid wasting your time.

Manuka honey is known to be a strong antibiotic. In vitro tests, it has been shown to kill H pylori. In clinical trials, it hasn't been effective in completely eliminating the bacteria. However, it does have some healing properties and inhibits a chemical in the body called urease. Urease can produce ammonia, which can create an environment conducive for pathogenic bacteria.

Licorice root

Licorice root has long been used as a natural remedy, both in Eastern and Western medicine. It's native to the Middle East, India, and parts of Asia. Though its uses are still under research, some evidence suggests that it can ease symptoms of chronic bronchitis. This condition, also known as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, is an inflammation of the airways that causes symptoms like chest pain and a burning sensation in the chest.

Licorice root has a long history of being used to soothe the mucous membranes of the digestive tract. It has the ability to increase the production of mucin, which helps protect the lining of the stomach from acid and other harmful substances. Licorice also contains flavonoids, which are known to inhibit the growth of H. pylori.

Olive oil

Researchers have found that the healthful phenolic compounds in extra virgin olive oil have a potent antibacterial effect on H. pylori, the bacteria that causes gastritis and peptic ulcers. The study found that EVOO inhibited the growth of both oxidative and nonoxidative strains of the bacterium. This means that EVOO can potentially be used as a chemoprotective agent against gastric cancer and peptic ulcers. However, further research is needed to determine the exact mechanism of action.

The study conducted by Castro et al. showed that a dose of 30 g of virgin olive oil per day was effective in clearing H. pylori from patients. In the study, patients were given a urea breath test, and the results were reported after four to six weeks. After 24 to 72 hours, eight out of the 30 individuals had no sign of the bacterium. This means that this treatment is moderately effective in eradicating H. pylori in clinical settings.

Cranberry juice

If you are suffering from an H pylori infection, you may be interested in trying a natural treatment with cranberry juice. This juice contains compounds known to inhibit H. pylori growth and recurrence. In addition, the presence of cranberry juice may help to prevent the symptoms of the infection. However, you should talk to your doctor before starting this type of treatment.

The consumption of cranberry juice can reduce the risks of stomach cancer, which is caused by the bacteria Helicobacter pylori. The bacteria, which is present in two thirds of people worldwide, causes ulcers in the lining of the stomach and the upper small intestine. In some people, the bacteria may even cause stomach cancer, but this is a rare occurrence.
